Learning Commons at the CBE
Today’s learners cannot imagine life without the internet and supporting technology. The concept of the traditional library is changing to include technology, online tools and spaces for collaboration and exploration.
Our School's Learning Commons
The Learning Commons is a fun, dynamic, and collaborative place for learning. Students will have an opportunity to sign out books, use various technologies, and work with peers and teachers. The Learning Common space will be open most lunch hours to accommodate students. While lunch should not be eaten in the space, it will be supervised and available for students to enjoy during the lunch hour. Students completing homework will be given priority use of computers during lunch.
Library Collection
The loan period for books is two weeks. Please be sure your books are returned on time and remember no new books will be loaned until all over dues are returned. School policy on use of communication devices applies in the Learning Commons. New book suggestions for our collection are always welcomed – please inform our library assistant or your teacher with your thoughts.
