The 2025 CMLSAA Soccer Season of Play begins on September 2 and must conclude prior to November 9, 2025.
William D. Pratt fields both Boys & Girls Teams. Grade 6, 7, 8 & 9 students may participate. Tryouts are required, and our coaches will determine which student-athletes will be offered a position on the teams. Prior soccer experience is recommended, but not required.
Soccer specific cleats & shin guards are mandatory at all Mavericks Soccer tryout sessions, practices & games.
The CBE's Annual Authorization for Athletic Tryout form must be completed by all student-athletes interested in trying out for any school team. Parents & caregivers must complete & submit this document prior to their child attending tryouts. Selecting "Yes" for all sports is recommended as this allows for mid-year decision making process for your child.
A checked "YES" does not mean the student has to try out. It just means that they can if they want to.
Beginning September 1, 2025, all prospective student-athletes wanting to play on an all-female team must submit a completed Fairness and Safety in Sport Act - Athlete Eligibility Confirmation form (attached for your review, no need for you to print this off) BEFORE attending tryouts. - This only needs to be completed once every school year and is good for all CMLSAA sanctioned sports.
