Adopt-a-Family Campaign

William D. Pratt School is excited to launch our 9th Annual Adopt-a-Family Campaign! This holiday season, we invite parents to support families in need within our school community by donating gift cards to retailers where families typically shop, such as Walmart, Safeway, Sobeys, Canadian Tire, Toys R Us, Superstore, Costco, Amazon, Chapters, Sport Chek, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, and Market Mall.

Gift card donations can be dropped off with homeroom teachers or at the school office by December 13. Please ensure the gift card’s value is noted on the card. If you prefer, donations can also be made online via FlipGive. https://www.flipgive.com/c/442746

If you have a valid police clearance which has been approved by our school this year -

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! Thursday December 5 & Friday December 6 are some of our busiest, and most fun days in the Servery. We are able to fundraise a significant amount of money on these evenings, which goes right back into helping our students. If you do not have a valid police clearance yet, and would still like to support these events, please note that Pizza Delivery and Grocery Running roles are available, and just as important and appreciated! Universal Human Rights Month

December is Universal Human Rights Month. In 1948, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was proclaimed by the United Nations. This declaration outlines universally protected fundamental human rights. This concept is explored throughout grade school when students learn about various levels of government and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We also uphold everyone's fundamental human rights through our commitment to Welcoming, Safe, Inclusive, and Caring schools.
