Hello Pratt families, 

We hope you enjoyed the Family weekend and spent time together.  We want to thank you for your patience as we migrated to our new webpage.  This webpage design comes directly to you based on parent feedback so I hope you are able to find what you are looking for here. 

Welcome to our newest families who have joined since our last update – we are pleased to have you in our school community.

Mr. Mark Genuis has stepped in for Mrs. Leal, teaching Humanities with 9-6/9-5 and will remain in place until the end of the year.  Mr. Genuis has been in our school many times and the transition has been a smooth one. 

Ms. Islam was here leading 9-4/9-3 through Math/Science for the last several months while Ms. Marquette was away. Ms. Marquette has now returned so we bid farewell to Ms. Islam today. 

Our semester change occurred on January 31 and went smoothly. All student began new complementary classes. 

We hope that families were able to review and sign IPPs then return them by Feb 14 to teachers – we very much appreciate your feedback. 

Student teachers have joined us in PE (Ms. Ana Browne) and Grade 8 Math/Science (Mr. Tim Dees) – welcome to Pratt!

As we begin the planning for next year, we are asking to hear from you if you are planning to move within the city or out of town.

Grade 9 year end photos were taken Thursday Feb. 22 – these will be the pictures used in Grade 9 composite.  If you missed ordering, you can order online through MyLifetouch.ca. 

The week of Feb 26-March 1, 2024, there are many student created events planned as a Kindness Week and we are looking forward to the excitement that this will bring!  Wednesday February 28 is ink shirt day and we encourage you to find a pink shirt for your student to wear.  There are activities all week long related to kindness with an assembly planned for Friday.

Some lucky Swiftie will go home with a jersey after the assembly on Friday!
