Science Olympics
Congratulations to our Science Olympics teams for receiving silver in the Science Olympics event last weekend. Our Division 2 team, Einstein’s Mavs, designed and built a rain harvester. Our Division 3 team, Mech Mavericks, designed and built a precision seeding machine.
Mav of the Month
Five students were identified as having exceptional qualities that saw them elected as Mav of the Month for May! Congratulations to the winners and thank you to Council who provided prizes. Students: Be the best you can be in June to be nominated June’s Mav of the Month!
Transportation 2025-26
Registration for yellow school bus service next school year is now open. Families wanting their student(s) to begin taking the bus at the start of the school year need to register before June 22, 2025. Registration for transportation is done through your MyCBE account. National Indigenous History Month
June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada, an opportunity to learn about the unique cultures, traditions and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis. It's a time to honour the stories, achievements and resilience of Indigenous Peoples, who have lived on this land since time immemorial and whose presence continues to impact the evolving Canada. Check out the Indigenous Awareness Week Calgary website for a list of celebrations and gatherings happening throughout the week of June 14–21, including a Powwow on Saturday, June 14 at the Elbow River Camp.
Filipino, Italian, and Portuguese Heritage Month
Throughout June we honour Filipino, Italian, and Portuguese heritage; celebrating the contributions of these communities to the fabric of Canadian society and our community at Pratt.
June is Pride Month, a time to recognize the pursuit of equality and rights for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. During this month, we recognize the valuable contributions individuals of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities have made to history and society. We are working together with students, families, employees, and our communities to build positive learning environments for student success.
