Cold Weather Reminder
Winter weather has arrived, marked with colder temperatures and blowing snow. Reminding students to wear their jackets and hats can sound like a broken record at times. You can minimize the amount of time your student is spending outside by checking the MyBusStop App and having your student arrive at 7:45am. Our grade 5 and 6 students still go outside for recess up to –20 degrees.
Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences
Conferences are coming up on November 27, 28, & 29. November 27 & 28, conferences will take place in-person at Pratt from 4pm to 8pm. November 29, conferences will take place online from 8am to 12pm. Families can book a 10-minute conference with each of their child's teachers (CTF & PE) or teaching teams (Core) through their MyCBE account. Conference booking are now open and will close Wednesday November 27 at 8am. Thank you to families for brining dinner for teachers.
Yearbook
Yearbooks for the 2024-25 school year are on sale now! Get your child’s yearbook for just $37.50 until December 22, 2024, when the price increases to $40. Optional personalization is still available. Click here to purchase yours now!
Bookfair
The Scholastic Bookfair will be at Pratt from December 3 to 5. Bookfairs help our library raise money for new books, while giving families the opportunity to purchase books and stationery. More information on the bookfair will come in our next weekly message.
Farewell to Mr.Hamby
Former Royal Oak School families may remember Principal Hamby. He has announced his retirement after decades dedicated to teaching. Royal Oak School has invited all families to an informal send off at the end of his final teaching day. See below for the invitation:

Bring your "Congratulations", "You've made a difference", "We'll miss you" signs along with your LOUDEST cheers and let's send Mr.Hamby off with our warmest wishes into his retirement!
