This Week at Pratt

We have completed a successful second week of school, and it has been great to see students settling into their classrooms, routines and expectations. Physical Education classes transitioned back into grade groupings this week, and students are excited about their programs.

I also enjoyed connecting with many families at today’s Welcome Back Pratt Food Truck Event. We had a great turnout! Thank you to our parent community for continuing to show up and support our school in so many ways. I truly value these opportunities for conversations and feedback.

Most of our class sizes have now stabilized in the range of 25–28 students, with a few slightly higher or lower. This is due in part to a class size reduction grant provided by the Government of Alberta and will help our staff continue to provide meaningful learning opportunities and supports for students.

As we head into our third week, we will review expectations around respect, community and thoughtful choices with students. This will include a reminder about our Personal Mobile Device Policy. Personal mobile devices brought to school should remain in student lockers until the end of the school day. We appreciate families reinforcing this expectation at home.

Thank you for another great week, Pratt families. Have a wonderful weekend!

Principal
